Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the way BillionGraves transcriptions are done.
In the past, after volunteers uploaded photos of cemetery headstones, they had to wait for other volunteers to transcribe the personal information found on the photos. But now, that work is being accelerated by having machine learning transcribe millions of headstones quickly and then human volunteers only have to perform quality-control checks.

That is so cool! If Ai can be used for transcribing headstones, just think of the other applications that will move forward, with other record transcription. ( I was even thinking that foreign language transcription too). Only in our day, are these things possible. Ai will a blessing in disguise. Very exciting.
I am just amazed at what is taken place.
I have been working on BillionGraves transcriptions for months now and when the AI started, it greatly accelerated the work. It still needs good photographs to work with and a human checking the transcription. AI has great potential in transcribing records and converting them to digital format.
