Last month, the Church launched an online training course as part of an ongoing effort to protect children and youth. Adults who interact with children and youth in their Church assignments in North America are to complete the training by September 22.
As you take the course, there is an audio transcript available if you want to read along as you listen to it. Or, if you have difficulty hearing the audio, you can read the transcript. Just follow the steps below and refer to the screen shots.
- Go to ProtectingChildren.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
- Click Launch Training. (You will need to sign into your LDS account if you haven’t already done so.)
- Click Get Started.
- On the welcome screen, click Test Audio.
- In the lower right side of the screen, click the icon of a piece of paper to see the transcript of the audio. (You will need to click that icon on each page to read the transcript and then wait for the audio to finish before moving to the next page.)
The transcript may be easier to read on a computer or tablet rather than on a phone.
Kevin has already taken this training. The Bishop wants him to retake it but we are having a difficult time getting on to the website and hearing it. Can you please help?
I have taken this exam once before. I teach the 9-10 year old children in Primary. Help me find the correct place to start.

I am trying to take the course, but it continues to say the page is not available.
I used my user name, but the computer won’t take it. I tried my MRN, but still doesn’t take it.
I have finished Protecting Children and Youth for the LDS Church. Observing children’s behavior, as well as possible physical trauma is so important. Those items are addressed. Great!
I like what I learned
I learned many things about children’s protection
