The purpose of the contest is to give Church members an opportunity to strengthen their testimonies as they share their talents with worldwide members and to “join the conversation” in sharing the gospel with the world.

Hi,
It really frustrates me when we as Latter day Saints are referred to as Mormons and other aspects of or being members of the church such as the faith , websites, principles and life are referred to as Mormons or the Mormon Church. We belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and all that is apart of us should be called as that!
as members of the church of Jesus Christ of letter-day saints we shouldn’t feel bad because some sought of human who isn’t member of the church comes to you and say why are you a Mormon? instead of you being frustrated you can turn out to be a guide to the person making he/she to better understand that you are not ashamed of being a Mormon.
let me share with you what i learn t in my preach my gospel, first remember as a Mormon you are a unique person and when you search your scriptures you’ll better stand to comprehend the fact that the church is true that the church is unique from what you see around the world that has the PRIESTHOOD which no other has that we believe in Christ. while serving as a full time missionary i had this man come to me and said why do you choose to destroy your life why do you choose to be called a Mormon? come let me take you to where you will get your salvation, i laughed and said to him i will follow you to where soever you will take only on a condition that you will give answers to this questions
1.did you exist before you came to this life? if yes where?
2. what is your main purpose in this life?
3.after your life on this world where will you be going to?.
on a normal Mormon sense you and i know very well that we existed before(jer1:4-5), that our purpose is to perform our labors(alma 34:32-36) which is to have faith, repent, get baptized receive the gift of the Holy Ghost then Endure to end.
asking the man this question and him not able to give answer he was sufficiently humbled and asked to know more and now i am proud to say he like to be called Mormon because he is now a Mormon. when you search your book of Mormon you’ll better know that it can answer your hardest question and give solution to your problems, don’t be afraid to tell any body who you are and where you worship with this you are bearing your testimony to the world God bless you all and bless the church of Jesus Christ of letter-day saints
“Mormon” is just more catchy than the alternatives. Also it directly links us to “The Book of Mormon” which is a very good thing.
I’m very excited for this contest, I love making videos but they’re always just silly and not very good. This is a good push for me to attempt something a little higher quality. And to add my two-bits to the Mormon conversation, it is true that we should avoid using the term Mormon and refer to ourselves as Saints or Latter Day Saints, but Mormon is a name we should take pride in. He was a great man and a prophet of God, and the word Mormon means More good so it fits
When we are called “THE MORMONS”, I want to appreciate the fact that it tells others that we are members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. The term ‘Mormon’ had been in use for long time now. Hence, it should be appreciated.
