The product manager of the Church’s Member Tools app has written an article about exciting changes coming to the Church’s Member Tools app, which lets you contact ward and stake members, access event calendars, and locate Church meetinghouses and temples. Leaders can also access additional membership information and reports.
Since its introduction in 2010, the Member Tools app has grown from a digital directory of ward and stake members to a powerful tool supporting both members and leaders throughout the Church with many additional capabilities. With the addition of many helpful features, the app will eventually be renamed Member and Leader Tools. Corresponding with this change will be updates to the app allowing leaders to do many things they can currently do in the Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) web application.
In preparation for this change, several improvements have been planned and will be introduced during the coming months. For example, Member Tools will be updated with a new home screen. An improved menu will also be introduced to make it easier to navigate to features. Eventually, users will also be able to customize their home page based on their callings or interests.
All these efforts are a result of extensive research that has been conducted and will continue to be conducted with members around the world. As we make progress over the coming years, we’ll continue to update this article so you can learn about new, upcoming features.

Hope one of the updates is the ability to print from it!
“Covenant path progress” only showed up in one of my children’s profiles recently. Within that feature was a “friends in the church” part. There were two people in that part that were NOT approved by me, they are not in our ward, they have no need to “friend” my child. There is also an approval aspect of that feature that says something like “approval was sought from the child”. I know my child, she did NOT speak to anyone and give her approval for any of this. This feature is concerning.
