video-descriptive

The Church is now beginning to provide descriptive audio on some of its videos. This is a form of narration that describes the key visual elements in a video for the benefit of those who are blind or visually impaired. These narrations are typically placed during natural pauses in the audio, and sometimes during dialogue. This is especially helpful for a video like “The Christ Child,” which is a striking visual video with very little dialogue.

The “Light the World” video “The Christ Child” is available in descriptive audio. If you have a friend or loved one who is blind or visually impaired, please share this with them. You can also imagine the experience by closing your eyes and listening to the video.

There are a few other videos with a descriptive audio narrative that will be published in a month or two.
