The Church has announced the resources that will be used in Sunday classes during 2018. The Instructions for Curriculum 2018 outline the following courses of study:

  • Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society: Adults will use the new Come, Follow Me—For Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society that was announced yesterday. The first Sunday will be a council meeting. On the second and third Sunday, members will study, discuss, and apply general conference messages. The fourth Sunday lesson will be on a doctrinal topic selected by general Church leaders. The resources for these meetings will be provided twice a year in the November 2017 and May 2018 Ensign and Liahona magazines. An 8-page insert in these two issues will provide teaching and study resources.
  • Adult Sunday School Gospel Doctrine: Adults will use Old Testament Gospel Doctrine Teacher’s Manual and Old Testament Class Member Study Guide. New members, investigators, and members returning to activity will study from Gospel Principles
  • Aaronic Priesthood, Young Women, Youth Sunday School: Come, Follow Me: Learning Resources for Youth online at lds.org/youth/learn.

sunday-school-class-digitalYou can find all these resources online at lds.org/manual and in the Gospel Library mobile app. Where possible, members are encouraged to use digital versions. If you haven’t used the resources online or in the Gospel Library app, now is a good time to experience the ease of preparing, teaching, and learning from these digital resources. Read  the article “Church Materials: Print or Digital?” and watch the video, “The Power of the Gospel in Your Pocket.”

Ward and branch leaders: If it is determined that members or teachers need printed copies, you should make a careful inventory of what printed materials you already have and then only order printed copies for those who do not use digital versions. Orders should be placed at store.lds.org no later than September 30 to ensure their arrival by January 1, 2016.
