Camping.ChurchofJesusChrist.org is a Church website that provides information about many of the recreational properties owned or managed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Recreational properties are camp facilities developed for use by youth and families of the Church. For example, these recreational properties provide a location for holding Young Women camp programs. They also provide a setting where youth and families can enjoy outdoor experiences together.
On the website, you can search for and reserve available campsites. A Church Account is required to log into the site.
Which church authority do I contact about establishing a church owned camp facility in the United Kingdom.
In the US the boys have scouts camps and the girls, single adults and families have hundreds of camps, but in the UK we have nothing !
Are our members not important enough ?
Stuart, thanks for your comment. I would suggest you talk with your stake president, who can discuss it with your area president. Many areas around the world have purchased camps where they have enough youth and adults to justify the expense. In some countries, where camping is not done much culturally or where there are not enough members to justify the expense, the Church has instead leased or rented camps.
Where is it possible to get a map of church camp sites, where they are?
See https://camping.churchofjesuschrist.org/ for a listing of all the camps.
Is there a map of the United States or state by state with the location of church camps? The church site does not have a map and you cant see what state they are in without opening up each one (which takes you back to the top of the list when you go back). SO GRATEFUL for the efforts to provide these locations.Wish I had knowledge of how, so I could donate time to improve location services. 🧐
hello, I want to reserve a couple campsites at West Piney girls camp in Idaho. But I cant tell which campsites are close to each other as there’s no map with the sites marked. Please let me know how to figure this out. THANKS
I am a camp manager for a new camp in TX which has a swimming pool. Are there guidelines put in place by the Church for rules and regulations regarding mandatory Lifeguards or can a leader take that role?
What is the location of your camp, Patricia? I am in DFW area and looking for YW camp options.
How do i contact Cobble Creek in Utah to ask questions and confirm things?
When did the church first acquire and open Camp Ritchie at Bear River Reservoir in California ?
I am not sure when but I do know know in 1975 work parties built A-frame buildings. My oldest sister was at Camp Richie in 1977.
