I found the video “Bullying – Stop It,” with Dieter F. Uchtdorf extremely beneficial. Though a bit longer that most Mormon Messages videos it teaches a very valuable lesson and facilitates deep reflection on our actions. I think one of the more important aspects is that it shows that one of the “perpetrators,” in this case is an otherwise active and involved Aaronic Priesthood holder, perhaps even a leader, and how in the name of a bit of fun was not fully understanding consequences. We need to just stop and think more. We need to take on us the character of Christ and not just His name as we make our choices. I hope this video will be seen by youth and adults alike and that meaningful discussion will result.
I love this video. Not just because my daughter, Monica, is the blonde bullied girl, either. 🙂
Bullying (particularly bullying at church) is something that I’ve long discussed and written about and that I feel is extremely important. I hope we all use it to look at OURSELVES and how we treat others. I know I have.
