For updated information on how to access LDS General Conference, see “8 Ways to Access LDS General Conference.”
General Conference begins tomorrow. Are you planning to attend, or do you consider conference weekend as a break from regular Sunday meetings?
Before each conference, the First Presidency issues a letter to “invite all members of the Church to participate” in general conference. “Messages of inspiration and guidance will be delivered by the First Presidency, members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and general officers of the Church…. We encourage all members to listen to and follow the counsel given during the general conference.”
Attend Live
There is power in the Spirit you can feel by attending the live event, either at the Conference Center or in your meetinghouse. If possible, I encourage you to arrange your schedules so you can attend live. The Savior has promised that “where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). What could be more important tomorrow and Sunday than listening to Prophets and Apostles of God giving us advice on how to live in an increasingly evil and confusing world?

What other ways can you think of to share General Conference with others?
I’ll be on the road on a business trip. Will the Mormon Channel app for Android stream Conference sessions live?
Mike, Yes, I believe it will stream English audio.
Is there a way to get the sessions close captioned? I am at work and am not able to listen but I could read it as it streams.
Stephanie, we are not able to stream closed captioning live, but the captioning is added to the videos files that are posted to LDS.org later.
Hello all. Hey, I worked out how to stream this on an Android device. Basically the church streams conference using a old outdated protocol. The mms protocol. To play on Android go to the listen to conference link and then copy the link and add it to a radio player that will handle the mms protocol. I used the xiiaLive app. Good luck.
How do I watch it on my iPhone?
You can use a browser and watch it on LDS.org or you can use the Mormon Channel mobile app.
