Church LDS Websites

lds-websitesThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sponsors many websites for the benefit of Church members, news media, and others who are interested in learning more about the Church. You can tell if a site is from the Church because it will have the Church logo. Individuals and Church units (wards, stakes, missions, etc.) are not authorized to use the logo on anything they create.

Below is an alphabetical list of the major Church websites, updated March 10, 2019. Also see a list of short URLs to find many Church websites.

  • Account Settings. Use this screen to set up your Account username and password. This allows you to sign in to many Church resources. This will eventually be a single sign-on for all Church sites and applications. If you haven’t yet registered, sign up with your birth date and membership number (found on your temple recommend or available from your ward clerk).
  • Addiction Recovery Program (AddictionRecovery.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) for alcohol, drugs, tobacco, coffee, tea, pornography, inappropriate sexual behavior, gambling, codependency, and eating disorders. The program is an LDS adaptation of traditional 12-step programs that have been used successfully for years. Family Services runs these groups to assist individuals who desire freedom from addiction and a better life through gospel fellowship.
  • Addressing Pornography (AddressingPornography.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides resources for individuals, spouses, parents, youth, and leaders on how to avoid pornography or overcome the effects of its use.
  • Adoption. See “It’s About Love” below.
  • American Sign Language (asl.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) this page provides a listing of materials available in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • ASL. See American Sign Language above.
  • Audio.ChurchofJesusChrist.org This page provides a list of downloadable audio MP3 files.
  • Bible Videos (BibleVideos.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or BibleVideos.org) “The Life of Jesus Christ Bible Videos” website contains videos portraying the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. This site is a gift from the Church to the world with a liberal policy on sharing and reuse. Videos are in English (biblevideos.ChurchofJesusChrist.org), Spanish (videosdelabiblia.org), and Portuguese (VideosBiblicos.org). Each video is accompanied by the scriptural text. Companion iPad app available free through the App Store. Learn more.
  • Bishoprics. See “Leaders” below.
  • Braille.ChurchofJesusChrist.org A list of Church publications in digital braille format.
  • Broadcasts (broadcast.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) An index of conferences, devotionals, and training broadcasts, with archives in text, audio, and video. Also see technical information for stake technology specialists about broadcasts.
  • Calendar (calendar.ChurchofJesusChrist.org). This tool shows events, meetings, and other activities. Specific calendars can be set up for each organization in the ward or stake. The calendar can also be used to reserve rooms in meetinghouses. Click Tools at the top of any page on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. The calendar is only viewable by members residing within the ward, branch, stake, or district. Watch video tutorials on how to use the Calendar.
  • Callings. Previously named “Serving in the Church.” On the ChurchofJesusChrist.org menu, click Resources > Callings, then select the calling, such as  Primary, Sunday School, Young Women, etc. Provides information to support members in their various Church callings. You can also reach specific sections by using these direct URLs: AaronicPriesthood.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, YW.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or YoungWomen.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, SundaySchool.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, and ReliefSociety.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
  • Casting (casting.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Information about upcoming projects and casting needs of the Publishing Services Department of the Church.
  • CES (ces.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site is for teachers and administrators at Seminaries and Institutes of Religion and requires an authorized log-in. For public access to seminary and institute information see “Seminaries and Institutes” below. For information about education and Church schools, see “Education” below.
  • Children and Youth (ChildrenandYouth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site contains information about the new Children and Youth program of the Church.
  • Children Lesson Helps (lessonhelps.ChurchofJesusChrist.org).  Helps for teaching children, including stories, activities, and media resources.
  • Christmas (Christmas.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Pages about Christmas.
  • Church Directory of Organizations and Leaders (cdol.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site allows authorized leaders to search for stakes, districts, missions, wards, and branches to find names and contact information for leaders. The directory is also accessible within the secure leaders site for stake presidencies and bishoprics (see “Leaders” below).
  • Church History (ChurchHistory.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site is the central location for online materials related to the history of the Church. Resources include information about historic Church sites, online displays of Church art and artifacts, information on the Church History Library (ChurchHistoryLibrary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) and archives, links to materials available through Brigham Young University, and access to introductory materials on Church history.
  • Church History Museum Site of the Church History Museum of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Provides information about exhibits, galleries, tours, hours, admission, location, and parking. Also provides information about the International Art Competition.
  • The Church in China: For Chinese Nationals (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/china).  Site for people from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) who have joined the Church while living in other nations of the world. (Learn more.)
  • Church Newsroom (newsroom.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site is the Church’s news resource for media professionals, opinion leaders, and the public. The site provides news stories and editorials that are updated two or three times a week, along with official Church statements on public issues or responses to news reports about the Church. Short biographies of senior Church leaders are provided, as well as concise reference material on Church beliefs and practices. The Newsroom site also identifies Church spokespersons and explains how to contact them. See also Public Affairs Video Channel above.
  • Church Newsroom Video Channel (youtube.com/LDSPublicAffairs) Video channel on YouTube of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This site features video clips posted by the newsroom of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. See also Newsroom below.
  • Church Technology (tech.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides information about the technologies being used or considered by the Church. The site also describes how those who are interested can help by contributing their time and talents.
  • ChurchofJesusChrist.org The content on this site is intended primarily for Church members. The site’s home page provides features on new content, as well as links to all other Church sites. From the home page, people can access scriptures, lesson materials, Church magazines, senior leadership talks, ideas to strengthen families, information on chapel locations and meeting times, local congregation websites, and much more. This site serves as an umbrella site for many other Church sites.
  • Clerks. See “Leader and Clerk Resources,” “Record-Keeping and Technology Support,” or “Meetinghouse Technology” below.
  • Combating Pornography. See “Addressing Pornography” above.
  • ComeUntoChrist.org This is the Church’s outreach site, dedicated to helping the general public understand the basic beliefs and practices of the Church. Information is provided in a simple format, avoiding the use of words that may only be familiar to members of the Church. Features include summaries of basic beliefs, a link to find a nearby Church meetinghouse or congregation, and the ability to ask questions in a live chat with a Church member.

  • CounselingResources (CounselingResources.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Guidelines and helps for ward and stake council members. Formerly called “Ministering Resources.”
  • Country Websites (countries.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or CountrySites.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Links to all the Church’s country websites. Under the direction of Area Presidencies, many country or area websites have been created as an internet presence of the Church in various places around the world. The content of country websites varies but may include such information as reports of Church activities, messages from the Area Presidency, announcements and reports of special events, and local Church history, news, and calendar items.
  • Create and Share Your Media Talents (create.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) A place to share your photos, video, music, and other media with the Church and other members.
  • DAISY (daisy.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) A list of DAISY files of content from the site ChurchofJesusChrist.org. DAISY (digital accessible information system) is a digital audio format that allows people who have a disability that makes it difficult for them to access printed text the ability to listen to materials. Using DAISY software or a device that plays DAISY files a person can listen to the audio version of a book or manual and navigate to a chapter, article, or bookmark.
  • Daughters in My Kingdom (DaughtersInMyKingdom.ChurchofJesusChrist.org).  Access to text and PDF versions of the book Daughters in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society.
  • Deseret Industries (deseretindustries.org or di.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides information about the Deseret Industries program, including volunteering, donating, rehabilitation services, helps for Church leaders, and the Community Partnership Program. You can also find store locations and hours.
  • Directory (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/directory) This tool shows addresses and contact information for members and leaders in your ward and stake. The information comes directly from the Member and Leader Services (MLS) software. Click Tools at the top of any page on ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Members and leaders both have access to update their phone numbers, e-mail addresses, photos, and data privacy settings. The directory is only viewable by Church members residing within the ward, branch, stake, or district. Learn about using the Directory.   • Disabilities (disabilities.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides information and resources for Church leaders, teachers, and families of those who have disabilities. The site describes the characteristics of many disabilities and provides information on how to help in both Church and family settings. Also included are references to related scriptures and quotations from Church leaders that offer comfort and counsel. Also see “DAISY.”
  • Duty to God (DutyToGod.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) The Young Men Duty to God booklet has been discontinued. See ChildrenandYouth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
  • E-books (ebooks.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Access to Church publications in PDF and in various e-book formats, such as EPUB and Kindle/Mobi.
  • Education (education.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This page provides information about educational resources, such as the need for education and literacy, Seminary and Institute of Religion programs, Perpetual Education Fund, and information about Church schools (BYU, BYU Hawaii, BYU Idaho, and Ensign College).
  • Employment. See “LDS Jobs” below.
  • Ensign Magazine. The Ensign magazine was published from 1971–2020. The current Church magazine for adults is the Liahona. This site features the past issue of the magazine in text, audio, and PDF formats.
  • Events (events.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Worldwide Church events. Also see “Temple Square Events” below.
  • Facebook. See a list of the LDS Church pages on Facebook.
  • Family (family.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Church resources to strengthen families.
  • Family Home Evening (fhe.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Resources for family home evening.
  • Family Proclamation (familyproclamation.org) This short-cut takes you directly to The Family: A Proclamation to the World.
  • Family Services (familyservices.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, ldsfs.org, or counseling.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides information about services provided by Family Services, including counseling and addiction recovery programs for addictions with substance abuse, pornography, gambling, etc.
  • FamilySearch (FamilySearch.org). This is the genealogy (or family history) site for the Church and constitutes one of the largest genealogical resources in the world. For both the experienced and novice family history researcher, this site provides access to census indexes, vital records, user-submitted pedigree charts, and much more. The site is connected to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and provides locations of family history centers of the Church across the globe.
  • For The Strength of Youth Magazine (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/study/magazines/for-the-strength-of-youth). This site features the current issue of the magazine as well as archives of previous issues in text and PDF formats. Also contains additional features that supplement the print magazine.
  • For The Strength of Youth Conferences (FSY.ChurchofJesusChrist.org). Information and registration for the For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences for youth.
  • Friend Magazine (friend.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site features the current issue of the magazine as well as archives of previous issues in text and PDF formats. Also contains additional features that supplement the print magazine, such as new features and games. Also see Children Lesson Helps above.

  • General Conference (GeneralConference.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, conference.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, or gc.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site contains archives in text, audio, and video of the general conferences of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in many languages. Find audio and video in English back to 1971 and music from conferences back to 2006.   • Gospel Media (medialibrary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides access to thousands of videos, images, and audio files you can use in lessons, at home, at church, for blogs, for websites, and elsewhere. The section of videos (videos.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) has nearly a thousand videos and the section of images (images.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) has several thousand photos and pictures.
  • Gospel Topics (GospelTopics.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, topics.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, or answers.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides an alphabetical list of topics related to the doctrine, policies, history, and practices of the Church. Most entries include a brief summary, a more in-depth explanation, related scriptures, related articles from Church magazines, and additional online resources related to the topic.
  • Hope and Help for Life’s Challenges (HopeandHelp.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) provides practical help on a variety of topics, such as abuse, addiction, adoption, death, grieving, loss, disabilities, divorce, emotional and mental health, forgiveness, gay (LGBTQ), pornography, pregnant and single, single-parent families, suicide, and unemployment.
  • Humanitarian Services provides information about the Church’s various worldwide humanitarian initiatives, including emergency response, measles vaccinations, neonatal resuscitation training, clean water projects, and more. The site also provides answers to frequently asked questions and gives information on how others can help.

  • Inspirational Messages is a video channel on the YouTube channel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This site provides a simple way to watch and share brief, gospel-centered videos. The channel is updated each week with new videos that teach basic beliefs of the Church, including stories of hope and inspiration.

  • Internet (internet.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Guidelines on how to use online resources in Church callings.
  • iTunes. See “Latter-day Saints Channel” below.
  • Jesus Christ (JesusChrist.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This multimedia website features articles, video clips, artwork, an interactive music page, and other sections—all focused on the life, ministry, and divinity of  Jesus Christ. The site is intended for anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus Christ. The document The Living Christ can be accessed directly at livingchrist.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
  • Jobs. See “LDS Jobs” below.
  • Joseph Smith (JosephSmith.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or JosephSmith.net) The site is the central location for online historical information about the Prophet Joseph Smith. Resources include chapter-by-chapter accounts of his life, descriptions and slide shows of related historic sites, images of historical documents, a multimedia resource center, and much more.
  • Joseph Smith Papers (JosephSmithPapers.org) The site of The Joseph Smith Papers, a comprehensive edition of extant Joseph Smith documents featuring complete and accurate transcription with both textual and contextual annotation. When completed, The Joseph Smith Papers will consist of more than 30 published volumes within six series (journals, documents, revelations and translations, history, legal and business records, and administrative records). They will present the earliest handwritten and published texts of the foundational documents of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Joseph Smith’s revelations and translations.
  • Languages (language.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This provides a list of languages, with links to online resources in those languages.
  • Latter-day Saint Philanthropies (LDSPhilanthropies.org or donations.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Latter-day Saint Philanthropies (formerly known as LDS Foundation), a department of the Church, oversees philanthropic donations to the Church’s educational institutions, as well as other initiatives such as Church history, humanitarian aid, missionary work, the Perpetual Education Fund, and temple construction. This site describes the needs being addressed and how donations can be made.
  • Latter-day Saints Channel (SaintsChannel.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) is the media channel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It publishes inspirational videos, live video events, podcasts, and blog posts. It is available online, mobile app, connected TV devices, and radio. Learn more.
  • LDS Catalog. This site has been replaced by store.ChurchofJesusChrist.org (see below).

  • LDS Jobs (jobs.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, LDSjobs.org, or employment.ChurchofJesusChrist.org)  Information and tools to find employment and help you reach your career goals. Also see careers.ChurchofJesusChrist.org for information on Church Employment opportunities.
  • Leader and Clerk Resources (clerk.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or leader.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) A site for stake presidencies, bishoprics, clerks, executive secretaries, and members of ward and stake councils. It provides support and training resources, reports, announcements, the Official Communication Library, and other Church applications to help these leaders fulfill their callings. After you sign in to ChurchofJesusChrist.org using your LDS Account, you can reach the site by clicking the Tools menu, then selecting Leader and Clerk Resources. Note: if you’re not signed in, you won’t see this option on the Tools menu.

  • Lesson Schedules (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/lesson). This tool allowed wards and branches to schedule priesthood and auxiliary lessons. It was discontinued January 2017. Learn why.

  • Maps (maps.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site allows you to enter an address and find the nearest meetinghouse. It also includes ward and stake maps, meeting times, and contact information for leaders. Learn more about Maps. Formerly known as the Meetinghouse Locator.

  • Meetinghouse Technology (mhtech.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Information about broadcast services, meetinghouse internet, hardware, and other communications systems.
  • Member and Leader Services (MLS.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Authorized leaders can log in and access reports and perform many of the functions from MLS (the Church membership software).
  • Mental Health (MentalHealth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Resources and help about depression, sadness, eating disorders, sexual abuse, schizophrenia, and suicide. Includes in-depth video interviews with members who struggle with these issues.
  • Ministering with Strengthened Melchizedek Priesthood Quorums and Relief Societies (ministering.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Information about ministering (formerly known as home teaching and visiting teaching).
  • Ministering Resources. See Counseling Resources above.
  • Missionary Online Recommendation System (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/mss) Leaders and missionary candidates use this program to submit online recommendations for full-time missionary service. This can also be accessed through the secure site for stake presidencies and bishoprics (see “Leader” above).
  • Missionary Service Opportunities (servicemission.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This section lists the current full-time senior and Church-service missionary opportunities.

  • Mormon New Era Messages (youtube.com/MormonNewEraMessages) Video channel on YouTube of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, featuring videos from the New Era magazines for teens. Some are videos based on New Era MormonAds.

  • Mormon Temples (MormonTemples.org) This site was created to help people better understand the purpose of Latter-Day Saint Temples. Also see “Temples” below.

  • Music (music.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or hymns.ChurchofJesusChrist.org)This site contains links to all the music and music-related resources that the Church has placed online. Along with sheet music, resources include an interactive music player to play, read, or transpose hymns and children’s songs. Access learning materials on conducting music, accompanying others, teaching songs to children, adding variety to singing, and learning music symbols and terms. Site visitors can search for songs with a variety of keywords, and songs can be downloaded as MP3 files.
  • Music and the Spoken Word (musicandthespokenword.org) Site of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s weekly broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word.
  • New Era Magazine. See For The Strength of Youth magazine.
  • News & Events (news.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) News from the Church online. In addition to original content, it brings together headlines from each of the Church’s news sources, including the Church Newsroom (newsroom.ChurchofJesusChrist.org), Church magazines (magazines.ChurchofJesusChrist.org), Mormon Channel (MormonChannel.org), and Church News (TheChurchNews.com).
  • Newsletter (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/member-news) was a blog-like site for ward and stake leaders to provide news and messages to members. This was discontinued in February 2017. Learn why.
  • Newsroom. See “Church Newsroom above.
  • Official Communication Library (letters.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This is an archive of the letters and notices sent to Church leaders from headquarters. It is also included under Resources in the site for stake presidencies and bishoprics (see “Leaders” above). Letters and notices can only be viewed by people currently serving in the callings to which the letter or notice was addressed. Letters addressed to all members are viewable by members.
  • Online Store. See “store.ChurchofJesusChrist.org” below.
  • Pageants (Pageants.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Contains information about the various pageants sponsored by the Church.
  • PDFs and eBooks is a page in the Gospel Library that lists major Church publications available in PDF format.
  • Perpetual Education Fund (srs.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This resource is for faithful young members of the Church who wish to improve their education, find a good job, and better serve their family, the Church, and their community. Also see Self-Reliance Services.
  • Personal Progress (PersonalProgress.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) The Young Women Personal Progress booklet has been discontinued. See ChildrenandYouth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

  • Places to Visit (PlacesToVisit.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site lists the Church’s historic sites, visitors’ centers, and pageants. Each listing includes a description of the place or event, as well as contact information, schedules, and driving directions.
  • Preach My Gospel (PreachMyGospel.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/) This short-cut takes you to a copy of the manual Preach My Gospel.
  • Prophets and Apostles (prophets.ChurchofJesusChrist.org). Learn about the life and teachings of living apostles and prophets, providing access to the Brethren’s messages and insight into their ministry.
  • Provident Living (ProvidentLiving.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site contains information regarding self-reliance, emergency preparedness, and humanitarian efforts. Resources range from information on family budgets and food storage to updates on ongoing global initiatives and emergency disaster response. Many of the welfare tools were designed for Church members, but much of the information is useful to the general public.

  • Record-Keeping and Technology Support (ClerkSupport.ChurchofJesusChrist.org or staketech.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, mhtech.ChurchofJesusChrist.org)This site provides help for those who serve in the Church as clerks or technology specialists.
  • Relief Society (ReliefSociety.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides training and information for leaders and members of the Church’s Relief Society organization, as well as access to many Relief Society materials online.
  • Same-Sex Attraction (ChurchofJesusChrist.org/topics/gay) this section of Life Help on the Church’s website contains helpful Church teachings, videos, and practical help for LGBT individuals.
  • Scripture Stories (ScriptureStories.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) This site provides access to the online illustrated stories from the scriptures.

  • Self-Reliance Services (srs.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) Self-Reliance Services are a resource available to stakes and districts, often within an existing family history center or in a meetinghouse. They provide internet access, mentoring, and other resources to job seekers, the self-employed, and prospective students.
  • Seminaries and Institutes (seminary.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and institute.ChurchofJesusChrist.org) These sites are designed for potential students, current students, parents, and priesthood leaders. The sites provide online versions of the manuals and study guides, as well as links to upcoming events such as firesides. Use the Institute of Religion Locator to find institute classes around the world. Teachers and administrators have a site at si.ChurchofJesusChristorg (accessible with authorized login) that provides teaching and learning resources and administrative functions.

  • Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square (TheTabernacleChoir.org) This site contains all the latest information on events, tickets, and recordings related to the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square (formerly known as the “Mormon Tabernacle Choir”).
