If You Can Visit In Person
Temple Square will host live tours, performances, and guest experiences from now through the temple dedication in October 2027.
Before the Open House (Now through April 2027)
- Invite your friends to tour the new visitors’ center where they can learn why temples matter in God’s plan. Also, make free reservations for the 30-minute Inside a Temple Tour, that leads you through full-scale replicas of sacred temple rooms, including a welcome desk, baptistry, instruction room, sealing room, and celestial room.
- Beginning September 1, 2026, make reservations for the temple open house that runs from April 5 to October 1, 2027.
- Use the Temple Square app to make the most of your visits, including maps, information, and free ticketing for tours and events.
- Volunteer to help during the celebration.
During the Open House (April through October 2027)
- Open house tours will start inside the Conference Center, with visitors shown a short video.
- Several buildings and areas around Temple Square will feature exhibits that add to the open house experience, such as the following:
- Selfie stations: Areas that allow for photo opportunities. Nearby volunteers will also be available to take photos.
- Joseph Smith Memorial Building: New exhibits highlighting the Savior’s role.
- Salt Lake Tabernacle: Projections shown on the dome ceiling.
- Relief Society Building: An exhibit highlighting the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary organizations, showing the impact of Latter-day Saint women on communities throughout the world.
- Church History Museum: New Church history displays.
- FamilySearch Library: New family history displays.
- Temple Square Visitors’ Center: Statues, artwork, miniature models and replicas that teach of Jesus Christ and His role in temples.
If You Cannot Visit In Person
Church leaders are invited to plan events for their communities related to temples. The Church has published a document titled “About the Salt Lake Temple Celebration,” which includes an overview of the celebration, available resources, and a link to the Salt Lake Temple Celebration Toolkit for local leaders.
- Beginning in March 2027, take an online tour of the Salt Lake Temple and Temple Square. Join a planned, guided tour through the temple, or enjoy a self-directed temple exploration during a virtual online visit.
- Beginning in April 2027, watch the following videos: Dedicate (a series about temple worship), Unshaken (a film about the Salt Lake Temple renovation), and Live from Temple Square (broadcasts in many languages).
