Weekend Movie Pick: Witnesses

This week’s movie pick is Witnesses. (See other “Weekend Movie Picks.”)

For nearly 200 years, skeptics and critics have attempted to explain what many Book of Mormon witnesses claimed to have seen—angels and golden metal plates containing ancient inscriptions. This film explores how Martin Harris,  Oliver Cowdery, and David Whitmer became known as the Three Witnesses and to their dying days, defended their testimonies when faced with threatening mobs, ridicule, and betrayal. Its accompanying 2022 docudrama, Undaunted: Witnesses of the Book of Mormon, is available for free streaming.
