The Church has issued the following statement:
“With sorrow we announce that Russell M. Nelson, beloved President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away peacefully shortly after 10 p.m. MDT today [September 27] at his home in Salt Lake City. He was 101 — the oldest president in the history of the Church.”

Though They’ll usually think of Joseph Smith when we think of this song:🎶 praise to the man who communed with Jehovah”… I know that Russell M Nelson was one also who : “Jesus anointed that prophet and seer“
I am so grateful for the spirit guided influence he has had in the church, but also to me personally. On so many levels, his words penetrated through to my heart and made me work on becoming a better man. I am particularly grateful for the input that he had in the newest iterations of the holy Temple endowment and how much clearer it all is.
Our deepest condolences goes out to Sister Nelson and her family for the loss of her beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and most of all our beloved Prophet who has now left you/us from this world. May he rest in peace and love.
Warmest regards S.Mauigoa
