After surviving a drunk driving accident that killed his pregnant wife and two kids, Chris Williams struggles to “just let go” and forgive the young man who caused it.
The movie Just Let Go opens in theaters nationwide today. It is based on the true story of LDS bishop Chris Williams and his journey to forgive. Read Chris Williams’ story. His story has already been the subject of the Mormon Messages video (see below).

I went to the premier of the movie last night. It was really good. I would encourage anyone to see it. There is an awesome twist that I did not see coming and did not know about the story. I was a little disappointed that they changed the main character to be a generic christian and not a Latter-day Saint. I understand they want to appeal to a wider audience but for me, a mormon, I was taken out of the movie when I saw a cross on the church, when he called himself a preacher instead of a bishop and when they couldn’t discuss their faith in the blessings of their eternal family in helping them to cope. These are minor distractions from an excellent movie. I was moved by the emotion of the trials these people went through and the redemptive spirit that was portrayed.
