This year, the Church is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its relationship with Scouting.
On October 29, 2013, the Church held a massive celebration event. A special recognition was given to President Thomas S. Monson and the event included videos, singing, trumpets, rappelling from the ceiling, and even a zip line inside the Conference Center. If you missed it, you can view it at scouts100.lds.org.
The BSA also offered commemorative memorabilia, including patches, a book, a lapel pin, and a coin.
