I think you’ll enjoy this interactive timeline for visualizing the history of the LDS First Presidency and the Apostles. It’s at LatterDayApostles.org.
Just slide the timeline across the top to view the First Presidency and Apostles at any point in time from the founding of the Church to the present.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing! I’ve often thought about how to visualize the changes in leadership over time and I think this one hits the nail on the head.
This site was filtered so I couldn’t access it. I am a Church employee.
I find this visualization problematic. It fails to include non-apostles and apostles who weren’t members of the Quorum of the Twelve. This gives the impression that several Church Presidents had fewer counselors than they did. It also leaves out Assistant/Associate Presidents of the Church. For example, for the time covered in the screen shot above, the First Presidency was composed of Joseph Smith (President), Hyrum Smith (Associate President), Sidney Rigdon (First Counselor), and William Law (Second Counselor).
Very enjoyable; this gives me an opportunity to calculate how many of these leaders I remember or have met personally: a “bonus” for being an older member of the church. ♥ Thank you.
Content is blocked as well. How do I get around this?
I don’t know why the Internet filter for Church employees blocks this site. Try going to the website from home.
