worldwide-leadership-training-2013Editor’s note (November 2024). The Church no longer publishes the Worldwide Leadership Training as it has been replaced by the updated General Handbook and other leadership training resources.

Over the years, the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve have held worldwide leadership training satellite broadcasts for leaders. See the archive of Worldwide Leadership Training meetings from 2004-2010 and the archive of Worldwide Leadership Training meetings from 2011-2012.

This year, the training is intended not just for leaders but also for parents, individuals, and families. The training is titled “Strengthening the Family and the Church Through the Priesthood.”

Unlike previous training meetings, this year’s worldwide leadership training will not be broadcast as a single event for ward and stake leaders. Instead, it is divided into 9 short video segments online.

Families are encouraged to watch the video segments in family home evening and other family settings. Ward councils and committees are encouraged to discuss how to implement the teachings on strengthening the family and the Church through the priesthood. The purpose is to help individuals and families strengthen their faith, testimony, and conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

To learn more about the specific videos, read the article “Worldwide Leadership Training Will Focus on Families.”

Bishops and stake presidents will also receive a DVD with the videos within the next few weeks. The DVD has the videos in the following 15 languages: Chinese (Cantonese), Chinese (Mandarin), Cebuano, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Samoan, Spanish, Tagalog, and Tongan.
