Ever wanted to publish your own daily newspaper? Now you can do it for free at Paper.li. You set it up by identifying the keywords you are interested in and it creates content using these keywords found in Facebook posts and Twitter tweets. It then updates the content in your newspaper daily, twice daily, or weekly.
It’s a way to create your own newspaper with the topics you’re interested in. It’s also a good way to promote good LDS content on the Internet. I set up the Richman Times in about 10 minutes.
As you set up your paper, I recommend that you avoid including all content from Twitter tags like #lds or #mormon, because unscrupulous people at times include those tags in degrading content. Instead, include content from specific Twitter users that you trust or people you follow.
Think of a good, uplifting subject and create a newspaper about it, then share it with your friends.
Paper.li is, in fact, the service The Latter-day Saint Weekly uses to publish its online newspaper each weekend at http://bit.ly/LDSWeekly. Since Paper.li pulls articles from our Twitter (http://twitter.com/LDSWeekly) or Facebook (http://on.fb.me/jM7fIq) feeds, it works really well with Twitter and Facebook in providing a suite of complementary information resources to users, who can get news updates from us however they would like.
Paper.li is fairly new, which means it has some quirks that need to be worked out and some features awaiting full development. But it’s a great resource.
I want to start my own weekly or monthly advertiser but instead of just online i would like to publish these papers and put them in stores so do Paper.li help with this?
