The More Good Foundation recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of MormonWiki.com, an online encyclopedia about Mormonism created by members who wanted to share with the world the truth about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It’s like Wikipedia for Mormons by Mormons.
Today, MormonWiki.com has thousands of articles, many translated into multiple languages. This is a great resources for the millions of people who are searching the web for spiritual direction and education.
As a group of committed Christians, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are working together to dispel misperceptions about their faith.
My five year old asked me today about the Mormon religion, we are Baptiste Christians. Not wanting to speak on the subject as I know little to nothing about the religion, I’ve decided to reach out and possibly get an explanation I could convey to a five year old. I am not wanting to convert just acquire an accurate definition of what Mormonism is about. Who ever answers this question thank you so much in advance as I am trying to make every attempt to accurately answer questions my children ask. It is my belief that the stereotypical information about all unknown subject matter conveyed by parents is what perpetuates the ignorance in our society today. Please help.
Theresa, Thanks for leaving your comment, I’ve emailed you information about reading about the religion on Mormon.org. Larry
