The 179th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will convene in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5, 2009.
The First Presidency invites everyone to participate by attending, viewing, or listening via television, radio, satellite, or Internet transmission. At LDS.org, you can watch video streams online using the Church’s new video player in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language. You can also watch video using Windows Media Player or listen to audio streams in 63 languages.
For information on worldwide viewing options, see the broadcast schedule. For information on attending at the Conference Center, visit the Events page.
Shameless plug: I also wrote a blog post about General Conference. I tried writing it so that any person who hadn’t ever seen General Conference before would understand. Any suggestions about how to write it better would be welcome.
Nice job with the blog, Jacob!
For those who got to your computer ten minutes late, Neil L. Andersen, formerly of the seven presidents of seventy, was called as the newest apostle.
So I had over 400 visitors to that blog post, most of which coming from Google.
Also, as far as the streaming went, we noticed that it went pretty. Except that we noticed that with the two or three sessions we watched, it broke up about 5 minutes into the session and again about 100 minutes into the session. Not quite sure why that was.
