Recent updates to the Gospel Library app include several new music features that make it easier to find music, create playlists, customize listening experiences, and access tools that support congregational singing.
- Featured playlists are now included in the Playlist section, which can be found from the app’s Home screen. These playlists are published by the Church based on global interests and needs.
- Topic-Based Search. You can now create or add songs to your personal playlists by easily searching gospel topics. To see the list of available topics, click on the library symbol at the bottom of the screen, then select Topics in the upper-right corner.
- Easier Audio Type Selection. When selecting a song to listen to, you can now choose between the available audio types, such as the accompaniment only, guitar accompaniment, or vocal recordings, which are available for all new music from “Hymns for Home and Church.” Previously, the music player would default to the vocal recordings.
- Hymn Board for Stake Conference. The sacrament meeting hymn board feature is now available for stake conference.
- Metronome Tool. In accompanist mode, a metronome tool can now help accompanists and music leaders keep music at a joyful tempo.
- Guitar Chord Notation. With the publication of the new “Hymns for Home and Church,” guitar chord notation has been provided for all new hymns.
