Today’s #ShareGoodness Idea: Write a review of the Book of Mormon and post it online on Amazon.com and other sites.
These reviews will help people notice the book and you can share your testimony of its truth.
A friend of mine has launched a Facebook event “25,000+ Amazon Reviews of The Book of Mormon during Cyber Week” in an attempt to get 25,000 reviews of the Book of Mormon posted to Amazon. This would boost its rank and increase exposure to the Book of Mormon on Amazon.
On Amazon, be sure to review both the printed and Kindle editionof the Book of Mormon. The more people that download the free Kindle edition, the higher it will appear on the sales charts and the more people will see it.
While you’re at it, you could post your review on all the sites below. You could also post a review of other good LDS books.
- Amazon.com
- Anobii.com
- BarnesandNoble.com
- GoodReads.com
- Google Books
- LibraryThing.com
- Shelfari.com

This is a lovely idea but I have one thought: please be measured and real in your posting.
When Meet the Mormons came out in theaters, the initial reviews from critics were not that great, so Mormons flooded Rotten Tomatoes giving hundreds of 5 star reviews saying “It was the best movie in the world and it changed my life!!!!!” It just came across as not quite genuine. Not that people shouldn’t post reviews (I went and did one on Rotten Tomatoes myself) but that they should give some thought to what they’re going to write and be real.
Your review will do more good if you write something a reader can connect with it, than if you come across as a spambot of the church.
