In many countries, November 11 is a day set aside to honor those who have served their county in the military. We should express gratitude to all those who have sacrificed so much—including their very lives—in the cause of freedom.

Many faithful members of the Church, from the days of the Mormon Battalion to the present, have courageously stepped forward as guardians of freedom and have served their country with distinction.

The Military Relations and Chaplain Services page on the Church website provides resources to strengthen and support military members, their families, and chaplains. The site also has a section for bishops and branch presidents to understand how to support military members and their families. Learn more about how the Church provides support to military members and veterans.

Find a veteran or active serviceman today and tell him or her thanks for their service!
