RootsTech 2024 will be held February 29–March 2, 2024. This is the Church’s annual family history conference and it will be both in person in Salt Lake City, Utah, and online so everyone may participate.

Family Discovery Day
The worldwide Family Discovery Day broadcast on Saturday, March 2, at 1:30p.m. MST will feature the late President M. Russell Ballard sharing reflections on his pioneer roots and the importance of remembering our ancestors. Families are encouraged to watch the session together on broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Recordings of this session will be available online after the live event.
Those who live near Salt Lake City are invited to attend Family Discovery Day in person at the Salt Palace Convention Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. There will be activities and experiences for children, youth, and adults.
Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction
Beginning on February 29, 2024, stake and ward councils and others with callings that support temple and family history efforts are invited to view the most recent Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction meeting. This session features Elder Neil L. Andersen and Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and other General Authorities and General Officers discussing how to help new Church members have a positive experience in the temple.
Ward and stake councils are encouraged to view the session together so they can discuss specific local opportunities and needs. A discussion guide will be provided in 23 languages with the recording on the Gospel Library app and online.
