For Church recreational properties in the United States and Canada, the priority for scheduling and using the camps is being changed to give priority to larger stake groups, increase accessibility for Young Men groups, and add stake youth combined activities into the schedule. Recreation camps may also be used for youth conferences.
Camps will now be referred to as “youth camps” rather than “Young Women camps.” After youth groups have an opportunity to schedule stake and ward camps, other Church organizations may reserve them. Members will also be able to reserve the camps for family or personal use if there are remaining reservation slots available after all the needs of Church programs are met.
Units can start placing reservations on September 25, 2023, at camping.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. The new priority schedule can be found on the website.
