The following email was recently sent to Latter-day Saints who use the Leader and Clerk Resources section of LDS.org in their calling (members of ward and stake councils):
Changes are coming to Leader and Clerk Resources
In the coming weeks, we will be making some significant additions to Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) on LDS.org, including the ability to manage home and visiting teaching and callings on LDS.org from any Internet-connected device without having to use MLS on the computer at the church. In fact, you will no longer be able to update it from MLS as we work to retire that program and give you the resources you need directly on LDS.org at lds.org/lcr.
Watch for an email from us
We will send you another email notifying you when the change has taken place with a complete list of the changes.
Help us make sure the right people can use these resources
Because access to LCR is based on a user’s calling, it would be helpful if you could verify that all bishopric members; ward council members, their counselors, and their secretaries; and home and visiting teaching district supervisors and coordinators are recorded properly in MLS, using standard callings (custom callings will not allow access).
As a reminder, you can always access Leader and Clerk Resources by going to lds.org/lcr and signing in with your LDS Account. We will let you know when these changes take place and hope they help make your life a little easier.
Sincerely,
The Leader and Clerk Resources Product Team
Note: If you are a member of a ward council or stake council and did not receive this email, I suggest you log on to LDSAccount.ldsorg and verify your email address and under “Email Subscriptions,” check “My Calling” to receive updates.
Because Larry Richman is awesome!
What would be amazing is if they added birthdays (minus the year of course) for fellow ward members to access on LDS Tools. It’s a great way to remember and fellowship less active members by bringing them a little something or dropping by a card on their birthday as a friend and neighbor. We did this in our ward with positive results, but it would be so much more effective to have the birthdays accessible on the app. I emailed the suggestion to lds.org a year or so ago, but never heard anything. I think it could be a great missionary tool!
This is going to make things so much easier! This with the ability to pay tithing online and soon we won’t need to go to Church… Just kidding!
We have been waiting for this! This will make our job so much easier! Thank you. Hoping it is easy to access and all the mLS info is imported on its own. We will wait and see!
I am simply trying to get on to the v.t. list, so that I can report my visiting teaching for this month; but, I simply cannot find it. Any suggestions?
I need to report my v.t. district. I can’t find where to go. Can you help me?
we need not report any more, that is a lot of belief in we as His children, I feel having to report gave me more of a push to love my brothers or sisters
I am having problems finding a consistent way of getting on to visiting teaching reports. I am using an iPad and have been able to get onto that occasionally but it seems to be luck when I do manage to get on, no consistent steps?
Okay so if you go on Ldstools app and open the app and find your reporting icon. Open it and click on visiting teaching spice it should be different than the brothers since we are separated to HP AN EQ. YOU SHOULD BE ALLOWED to go to the companion ships and then click on the families and click in the circle as done.
HE is hastening his work. Believe Him.
Electronic transfer of critical Priesthood service information, (Home Teaching, Contribution submission and other personal information if and when necessary)
Blessed be The Lord God of Israel!
As Ward Membership clerk, updates to lcr are amazing and I look forward to being able to possibly have part-member families included in the updates and also unbaptized children of part member families.
How do I get into my visiting teacher report form I am the Coordinator.
