The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has previously published an ePub edition of the Book of Mormon and the Bible and the April 2011 general conference in ePub format. But now, be ready for an avalanche of publications in ePub format for use on e-reader devices.

You can reach the index of publications in ePub format from the menu on LDS.org by choosing Manuals, then clicking the link in the left column. Or you can go directly to lds.org/media-library/ebooks.

The list of publications includes scriptures, general conference, and manuals for Melchizedek Priesthood, Relief Society, Aaronic Priesthood, Young Women, Primary, Sunday School, and optional courses. Other languages and other materials will be forthcoming.

There are no current plans for creating Kindle versions, but there are a number of free programs available to convert ePub books for use on Kindle.  [Note: The Church now provides books in Kindle and other formats.]

If you enjoy using an e-reader, your day has come.

Editor’s note: After the April 2015 conference, the Church discontinued creating EPUB files of general conference due to low usage. Many devices, including the Kindle Fire can access general conference text and video with the Gospel Library mobile app (see mobile.lds.org).
