I previously explained that the Church is phasing out the printing of the large 11″ x 17″ printed pictures used in meetinghouse libraries in favor of using the Gospel Art Book and digital pictures online.

You will be pleased to know that the Church now provides more options for gospel pictures in the home:

  • Selection of 16″ x 20″ printed pictures, suitable for framing.
  • Selection of high-resolution pictures you can download and print on your own.
  • Selection of 5″ x 7″ printed pictures
  • Gospel Art Book with 137 pictures, most in 8.5″ x 11″ size

More information about these 4 options is found below.

High-resolution Pictures to Download and Print

The LDS.org Media Library now offers over 160 pictures that you can download in high-resolution so you can print them on your own. This high-resolution size (2400 x 3000 pixels at 150 DPI) provides a very nice quality up to a 16″ x 20″ size. For example, I downloaded several of them and sent them to an online photo lab and printed a 16″ x 20″ photographic print. (It cost me $5.99 at Costco.com and $12.86 at Walmart.com.) Not a bad price for a nice picture I can frame and hang in my home.

See the collection of high-quality images for print in the Media Library. (You can navigate to this section on LDS.org by selecting Resources > Media Library in the main menu, then select Images, then choose the category High Quality Images for Print.) Or just go to images.lds.org and select the category.

The Church continues to print the following 5″ x 7″ pictures available at store.lds.org:
