From a FamilySearch Tree to a Finished Book
Memories Book connects to your existing FamilySearch account. Choose yourself, a parent, a grandparent, or another ancestor as the starting point. The starting-person selector can reach as far as eight generations back. Each finished book can include one to five generations from that person. The website gathers the available family details and supported memories, then organizes them by person.
The finished book can include

Fan charts and life journey pages add context
Each person’s opening page includes a color-coded fan chart that shows where that person fits in the book’s family lines. A separate life journey page maps dated events recorded in FamilySearch and lists them in chronological order. The map adjusts from a state view to a country or world view based on the places in that person’s life.

Read the complete book online before choosing what to do next. The PDF preserves the finished page design for viewing, sharing, and printing, and can be downloaded directly or received through a private email link. Premium also includes an editable DOCX file for Microsoft Word, so you can revise the text, rearrange pages, or add your own material. The organized ZIP package keeps the original photos, stories, documents, XLSX inventory, fan charts, and available maps together for archiving or building your own version. Printed softcover copies can be ordered in color or black and white.
Explore your ancestors before building
Browse your ancestors in a fan chart or list, then open a person to see their photographs, written memories, and PDF documents together. Photo details show available titles and captions, and any ancestor page can become the starting point for a new book.
Play Games With People From Your Own Family Tree
Personalized games use direct ancestors, siblings, and children from your FamilySearch tree. Choose a one, two, or five-minute round, or play without a time limit. Questions cover faces, relationships, dates and places, and life sketches.
Correct answers earn miles along a virtual Mormon Pioneer Trail. Progress, locations, and badges are saved across devices. At the end of a round, missed questions can show the person’s image again and link to that ancestor’s page.
