We have just released some new video on videos.lds.org
-
Two new video segments from Elder Holland under the Frequently Asked Questions heading regarding what we believe about the Savior and continuing revelation. The segment about the Savior can also be found as a streamed element on jesuschrist.lds.org.
-
All the language video that has been converted and provided to this point.

Flash video for download. This is first time we’ve provided Flash for download, which is now possible because of Adobe’s recently-released offline video player called Adobe Media Player, which enables a user to download and view flash video offline.
We realize the video page is rather clunky. It is scheduled to be rebuilt later this year.
This is sort of off-topic, but having just purchased a new iPhone 3G, I’m wondering if the Church is going to develop an App for it? Something that will play Church videos, but more importantly, a meetinghouse locator and/or temple locator would be very useful.
At first I was excited that these files were available as Flash downloads. As a Linux user, I can’t watch Windows Media or QuickTime files. I tried to watch one, but then realized that it’s downloading an FLV file not a SWF file as I had hoped. FLV and SWF are different things.
The Adobe Media Player is available only for Windows or Macintosh so as a Linux user, I still can’t view the files on the lds.org website without installing legally questionable codecs.
Would it make more sense to provide SWF versions of the files so that anyone with any operating system can view these files?
Looks like this made its way on Youtube and is already getting thousands of views:

Nicely done.
