Be a part of history. Temple Square needs 1,200 missionary name tags to display in a new permanent exhibit about missionaries at Temple Square.
They invite anyone who served a full-time mission to be a part of this exhibit by donating one of their missionary name tags. Please mail your name tag to the Exhibits Building, 430 W 400 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84103 no later than March 20, 2015.
Name tags that will become part of the display will not be returned. However, if more than 1,200 tags are received, the excess tags will be returned to the owners.
Update February 24, 2015: They have received 1,200 missionary name tags, so no need to send more. Thank you to all who have donated your name tags to display in this new missionary exhibit on Temple Square this spring. The extra name tags will be returned to the senders.

I served a full time Mission, 1956-1958, in West Germany.
We didn’t have name tags then. So what could I mail in? ……
Love this. So wish I had one to donate
Loved this!! Name Badge on its way!!
I have one from the California Mission, dating to 1962. At a mission reunion about four years ago, I wore my old name tag and our president, Howard B. Anderson, told me that ours was the first mission to use name tags. I would be willing to donate mine if I knew it would be displayed, but I have just one, and don’t want to send it if it won’t be used, since I wouldn’t get it back. Can someone please let me know?
Alan, Temple Square’s recent post says this:
The first three name tags are in! Thank you Elders Trujillo, Hamby, and Quintero. It’s not too late to be a part of our new permanent exhibit. Send your missionary name tags to the Exhibits Building, 430 W 400 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. http://on.fb.me/1Athatp #TempleSquare
**We need 1,200 name tags. Any extra tags will be available for pickup or will be mailed back. Great care will be taken not to lose any tags.
Is it possible for your to add 300 more name tags to make it 1,500 please? I would love to see my tag there.
Where exactly will the display be on Temple Square and when will it be finished?
Dennis,
The display was just finished and it is in the North Visitors’ Center.
I will post an article about it on Tuesday on LDS365.com.
