I saw the movie Heaven is for Real last weekend and recommend it to you and your family.
It is the story of a little boy’s account of his trip to heaven and back. It is based on the best-selling book Heaven is for Real written by the boy’s father. The book documents the near-death experience of his four-year-old son, Colton.
Heaven is for Real is one of the many Christian-based movies being released this year. (See list below.)
Here’s the movie trailer:
Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the 4-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who experienced heaven during emergency surgery. He talks about looking down to see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The movie takes you through the experience of the boy telling his parents about his journey into heaven. I was surprised at the initial disbelief from his parents and the members of his church. Although his dad was a preacher, even he couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact that heaven is for real.
Is heaven really that hard to believe in? I wondered how I would have reacted if my own child were to tell me such a story. I have a strong belief in life before and after this mortal existence, and frankly found it hard to see the people in the movie struggle so much with the concept of heaven. I wanted to shout at them, “Of course there is a heaven!”
I encourage you and your family to see the movie and then talk about it with your friends. Invite your friends to learn more about death and the Plan of Salvation.

Heaven is for Real is absolutely TRUE, I know because it happened to me. Back in Nov of 2011, I suffered a double brain aneurysm and when I got to the hospital 2 doctors rushed me to the operating room open my head to stop the bleeding. The doctors decided to put me into a 4 week coma so that my operation could fully heal. While in my coma, I went to Heaven and met Jesus. Jesus told me that it wasn’t my time to come to Heaven, Jesus told me to go back to my family and friends and LOVE everyone that I spoke to. I spent the next 4 weeks in the hospital where the nurses and doctors watched over me and help me recover from my surgery. I was released and sent to a rehab facility where they watched over me, fed & clothed me and try to help walk again.
I was in a wheelchair for the next year and a half until I was finally able to hold by body weight up and learn to walk again. My younger son took me to local gym where he help me get stronger everyday and all of the gym members who got to know me where very supportive and prayed for me walk again. The day came where the 2 trainers of the gym asked if I wanted to walk and followed me to the end of the room and back. I was excited that I was able walk again the I started to cry and Thanked Jesus & GOD for helping me get through this difficult time in my life. So if you ask me is Heaven for Real, I would say absolutely it’s REAL, I’m a walking example of this.
Thanks
