Located at Lyman Lake, the Layton Legacy Stake put on it’s first-ever Helaman’s Camp for young men preparing to serve as full-time missionaries.
At the 4-day camp, the young men were taught the gospel, did service projects, and had spiritual experiences to help them become the missionaries they will be called to be.
About 95 young men participated. Activities included climbing over a 12-foot wall in teams, crossing difficult rope courses, and taking part in an iron rod experience designed to test their courage, loyalty, and faith through trials.
Below is a promo video they prepared to encourage young men to participate in the camp.
Below is a video they prepared after the camp.
Here’s a list of other member-created videos I’ve shared. If you find other videos you think I should share, post a comment.
These two videos show the power of digital media to rally individuals around a cause and to capture memories in ways that evoke connection and emotion. I wasn’t at this event, nor did I know anyone in the videos but, after watching them, I felt like they were my brothers and friends. Hats off to the production team on these. They were outstanding.
Awesome! Way to go Utah Legacy Stake!
