Do you think we should use mobile devices in church? Some people do and some don’t. Some even quote the handbook, Church leaders, and personal anecdotes and observations both for and against.
In the LDS.org blog post “Why My Smartphone Makes Church Better,” Michelle Torsak explains three questions that help her determine when to use technology at church.

Thank-you for this information and for sharing the blog post … terrific insights!
Is there a way to subscribe to the lds.org blog? I attempted to add it to my Digg reader feed and was not successful.
I think in my stake we have so much converted to a digital experience that in no way could we go back. Attend a High council meeting and the Presidency all has Mac laptops as do most of the council, a few are on various brands of tablets and they are far more proficient with those devices than without. In my callings in my Ward every member has a devices of some kind in Ward councils and they greatly enhance our ability to study, refer to the scriptures or leadership handbooks, make changes instantly on lds.org, send announcements, ask for resources. To me the use of digital devices has greatly enhanced our ability to serve in our callings, to study and to learn.
I only wish people would figure out how to silence those devices when in the Chapel or classes. 🙂
Thank you. Nice video and good article.
