During the October 2011 General Conference, President Thomas S. Monson announced that the former Provo Tabernacle would become the Provo City Center Temple. Now, 3 1/2 years of construction later, the temple is almost ready for its open house January 15, 2016 to March 5, 2016.
You can order open house tickets online at tickets.lds.org beginning January 4, 2016 at 10:00am.

Looking forward to seeing the completed temple in person on a future trip to Utah. But there is one thing about the temple I find disappointing: the tablet that reads “Holiness to the Lord—The House of the Lord”. The original renderings showed a tablet inspired by late 19th-century engravings, similar to the one on the Salt Lake Temple. But instead it’s a very plain engraving in a modernish text. A surprising lack of attention to detail in a building that clearly has had a lot of in-depth research and thought going into its restoration.
