Nearly 300,000 volunteers have helped provide access to more than 700 million records since 2006. FamilySearch indexing is a collaborative effort that allows the worldwide genealogical community to help provide open access to family history records online. FamilySearch provides an indexing platform and helps maintain a large volunteer workforce to index records from scanned and digitized images.
