giving-tuesday-2017#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

Giving Tuesday, or the National Day of Giving, is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. Millions of people come together to champion the causes they believe in and support the communities in which they live.

black-friday-cyber-monday-dealsAfter the widely-recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is a day for giving back. It kicks off the charitable season, when many people turn their focus to holiday and end-of-year giving.

Put this new ritual on your annual calendar. #GivingTuesday is the opening day of the giving season—a reminder of the “reason for the season.” Every act of generosity counts—and it means even more when we give together.

#GivingTuesday includes people of all ethnicity, religions, and backgrounds. Together, millions of people demonstrate our common capacity to give. You can give time or expertise, monetary donations large or small, simple acts of kindness, food, or clothing. #GivingTuesday is a way to  encourage our fellow human beings to support the causes they believe in.
