With 29,000 new missionaries expected to report within the next few months, more prospective missionaries are focusing on ways to help them prepare before they enter the missionary training center.
Missionary preparation classes are offered through local institutes, wards, and YSA stakes.
LDS.org also offers Missionary Preparation Resources for Personal Study. On this page, you’ll find references to do the following:
- Understand basic principles
- Lessons to study on your own
- Ways to act on what you learn
The page also provides suggestions for parents and leaders/teachers.
It also includes learning/teaching outlines for a mission preparation course.
My name’s Tom or Brother Swain and I’ve taught for the past five years at the Missionary Training Centre, New Zealand. I’m now an Institute President and pretty much a full-time Mission Prep Teacher. Deseret Book currently have a mission prep book I’ve written under review. (I hope for a decision on publishing in a few weeks) Along side that is a website I’ve just created at http://www.missiongeek.net
The idea being that I take some of the coolest stuff from the MTC days and put it into a more exciting, more interesting and captivating website and book and website to help everyone (even those who aren’t sure about a mission) prepare. I wanted to create something a but more fun, interesting and entertaining.
I’d love for you to check it out and I’d be ever so grateful if I could get a mention on your site. I don’t mind writing an article on the project or anything else that you would be interested in publishing.

Your feedback on my site would also be terribly helpful,
Thanks,
Thomas

I have seen the lesson outlines mentioned above. In the Table of Contents it says that additional lessons will be posted but I have not been able to find any more. Are you aware of anymore lesson that have been developed beyond the 5 lessons in the PDF?
Only these 5 have been posted so far.
