On April 3, 2010, the First Presidency announced a revision to the Duty to God program. A new book and related materials were sent to wards and branches in June.
Copies of the materials are now available online at DutytoGod.lds.org:
- A printable version of the new booklet in 50 languages.
- A list of questions and answers about implementing the new program in 23 languages.
- An implementation video for quorum presidencies in 26 languages.
- An implementation video for young men, parents, and leaders in 26 languages.
- Other related videos and articles.
Young men can also track their progress in an online interactive book in English.
I think its great that new materials are out. It is hard for me and I am sure a lot of other people to learn or remember what we have studied. I learn by watching the movies, dvds etc. I use to get he BYU channel but not anymore, that was great. Now I try to keep the gosspel study on the internet on.
As the Young Men’s secretary in the Evergreen Ward in Hillsboro, Oregon I am responsible for tracking the progress of young men through the Duty to God Porgram. I was able to do this with a spreadsheet for the old program, but the new program does not lend itself as easily to that kind of tracking.
I am currently formatting the online material one page at a time and have prepared a draft workbook for use with the Deacons and Teachers that contains all the material in the online program with blanks for the young me to provide written answers. I am thinking there should be a way to do this online. I am also the ward employment rep and would be delighted to see the Duty to God program set up similar to the program on LDSjobs.org. That way each boy could track his progress online and the youth leaders could have constant access to their progress. Is anything like this planned”
I am retired and home during the day and would be delighted to discuss this with someone over the phone.

Keith,
The team originally planned to launch DutyToGod.lds.org with a tracking system, similar to the Young Women’s PersonalProgress.lds.org. Unfortunately, the project plan had to be modified to meet the launch date, so the tracking function hasn’t been built. Hopefully, it will still be built, we don’t know a schedule yet.

Some great and computer savvy folks a lot smarter than I am have pooled their talents and ideas and have posted a couple of excel spreadsheets programs to help YM secretaries like me track the progress of our YM in the new Duty to God program and it is all FREE!
